LAKME EYECONIC 10 HOUR KAJAL ROYAL BLUE Review

After using the Eyeconic 24 hour black kajal lately, I wanted to give a try to the other Royal Blue Kajal from Eyeconic again. But this one wasn’t the 22 hour one. It was the 10 hour one. How did it turn out for me? Read on…

The product says:

Make an Eyeconic statement with the all new Lakmé Eyeconic Kajal and experience the power of beautiful eyes. A smudge-proof as well as waterproof kajal for everyday use, the new Lakmé Eyeconic Kajal promises to last up to 10 hours. Say goodbye to touch-ups and a big hello to long lasting finesse to your eyes, all through the day!

What I think of it:

It comes in a neat sea green packaging just like the other Eyeconics before. Has the similar features of a retractable pencil and the same color on the outside. So you cannot really make out a difference until you read the little label below that reads Royal Blue.
The kohl pencil within is very smooth in texture  and has a nice blue color to it. I have used the Maybelline Colossal Turquoise before but not any blues. So I cannot compare it with any other blues out there but this sounds just fine.
The new Eyeconic Kajal claims to have a staying power of 10 hours and it lasts as long very well. It definitely has a better staying power if I compare it to the Maybelline Colossal Turquoise. This one again only stays as long only on your lash lines and not the water lines. It however is not as difficult to remove as is the 22 hour Eyeconic and consequently doesn’t give you any pains at removing it.
The only down I found with it was that I found it a bit brittle and that hurt me bad. You can’t just watch your kohl break like that.

So, the pros and cons stand as:

Pros: Long Lasting, Dark, Easy to apply, Inexpensive
Cons: Doesn’t stay long on the water line; A bit brittle

I would definitely recommend this one, ignoring its flaws and falling for its colour.

Cheers!

LAKME EYECONIC 22 HOUR KAJAL – REVIEW

The first makeup product I learnt to use was Kohl. Kohls are my favourite but I haven’t been experimenting a lot with them because of very sensitive eyes. I have used Loreal’s Kajal Magique and then Maybelline’s Colossals. Now while my Colossal was just about to end, and I was thinking of switching back to Loreal, I laid my hands on the new Lakme Eyeconic Kajal with the 22 hour staying power. I thought to give it a try. And how did it turn out? Read on…

The product says:
Make an Eyeconic statement with the all new Lakmé Eyeconic Kajal and experience the power of beautiful eyes. A smudge-proof as well as waterproof kajal for everyday use, the new Lakmé Eyeconic Kajal promises to last up to 22 hours. Say goodbye to touch-ups and a big hello to long lasting finesse to your eyes, all through the day!

What I think of it:
It comes in a neat sea green packaging just like the Eyeconic before. Has a retractable pencil, and quite an efficient one on that. I have previously had issues with the other retractables sometimes, but this one sounds just fine. I like that it is black in color in exterior; the lighter ones generally catch dust onto them easily.
The kohl pencil within is very smooth in texture and you would just not have any added effort to give while putting this Kohl on. I found it way darker and easily applicable than the Maybelline Colossal Kajal. I cannot compare it with Kajal Magique as of now because I had bought the Colossal in a bunch and its been a long time since I have used Kajal Magique.

The new Eyeconic Kajal claims to be on your eyes for 22 hours straight, and it does. But, on your lash lines. On my upper and lower lashline, it stayed for 24 hours straight despite me having facewashed twice in that time already. I could only have it removed the next day with a makeup remover. Why I let it stay overnight, you ask? Because I wanted to see how long it would last. And bingo! It is a champ at staying.
However, as soon as water splashed on my waterline, the liner was gone soon. So the 22 hour staying power stands for the lash lines, not the waterlines.

So, the plusses and minuses stand as:
Plus: Long Lasting, Dark, Easy to apply, Inexpensive
Minus: Doesn’t stay long on the water line; Can only be well removed from the lash lines with a make up remover.

I would definitely recommend this one.
Cheers!

Simple Complexity

I met this friend of mine today who wants everything to be back the way it was months ago between us. I tried to tell him that one cannot turn back the time just like that, but he wouldn't quite understand.
Later I thought about his pleas. And i reckon that even if I forget everything and be back to what we were, he would be the one who wouldn't be able to give us back what we had. How do I know? Because i do. I have that feeling and I have enough of experience to judge that as well.
People are all temporary. At least with me, everyone had been so. And I accept this as the Gospel of my life now. They've always been temporary and they will be temporary always. No exceptions.
And it's okay. People change. But you get to choose what your standards will be. If you will fall below your dignity to hold your relationships together or let them be naturally and be laid back.
I've been a person of the former kind who's turning into the latter. No bullshit from anyone anymore. Life's too complicated and beautiful for that. I dont want to lose the beauty anymore for anyone.
But you know, you sometimes wish that life was just so simple and we could keep feelings in air tight compartments without letting them mix. Life is a huge compartment with percolating smaller compartments and everything gets mixed into the other. You live multiple and many times contradictory feelings. Dilemmas all over.
I remember my teacher telling me "Life is Simpli-complex." And so it is.
